You must be involved in at least one hour of microteaching. For this purpose, you must deliver at least a 15-minute microteaching session that is observed and assessed. For the other 45 minutes, you can observe the microteaching sessions of fellow participants. If you are currently teaching, you may prefer to use your practice instead of microteaching session to meet the practical requirements. You will be assessed via three written assignments and the planning and delivery of a microteaching session. The micro-teach can be on any topic.

I have worked in education for 34 years, in various guises. I managed a busy nursery for 12 years before branching out into Assessment and Quality Assurance, more than 20 years ago. My practice has developed alongside the ever-evolving training and apprenticeship sector, and I have worked in many different settings, including colleges, private training agencies and a foster care agency. I also work part time as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for a local charity that supports higher level education for young people with Special Educational and/or behavioural needs and as a tutor for a bespoke programme for one-to-one support.
